What is Turkish Coffee? Turkish coffee is a beverage that is popular in Turkey, so much so that the word “Turkish” is often used as a synonym for “coffee”.

Something that has always puzzled me is what to serve with Turkish coffee. I mean, there are tons of things that we can put in coffee – from sugar, cream and chocolate to biscuits, wafers, cakes and even cream cheese.

As the original black Turkish coffee is prepared by placing the sugar in the cup before preparing the coffee, this is where you’ll make the switch. You can also add honey or other sweeteners of choice.

In the UK, coffee is usually served with sugar and milk, and is usually accompanied by Turkish delight or other sweet pastries.
